This trip has introduced me to a lot of things I now love. Without this trip I don't know if I would have been introduced to Rachmaninoff at all. His music is extremely inspirational and I'm so happy that I've listened to it now.
I never thought that I would go to Czechia or Austria in my lifetime. I'm so glad that I have gotten that chance though because I got to see things that a lot of people don't get to see. The wonderful people in both these countries and all the interesting and delicious foods that I got to experience. I was constantly surrounded by history at all of the locations we went too which is nothing like it is back in America. I felt so lucky to be standing where I was every single day.
This class was amazing. I learned so much about composers that I knew and other historical people. Sad to say that I won't be going back to these places for a long time. If only they were closer. All in all, I loved this course. Gave me the chance to be free and study what I want, where I wanted. We had a lot of free time to go explore and see museums which is exactly what you need when going on this journey. We were also given lots of great musical performances during the trip. Too many great musicians are in Europe, it's not fair! What amazed me the most about the trip is that not everyone at the concerts we went too knew the same languages, but we could all still collectively sit and enjoy the same music. It's a language between languages. That's why this class is so important, so that you can connect on a deep level with anyone just by sitting next to them while listening to some beautifully performed music. I loved this class and I can't wait to go back someday.
